Internal — Takeoff & Bid Tool (In Development)
PRODUCTION REFERENCE
Reference takeoff workspace. This organizes reference quantities, product selections, pricing, locations and observations. It does not evaluate system sizing, routing, performance, compatibility or installation requirements. Verify all records independently before purchasing or work.
01 Project
02 Drawing Entities
Fixture / Device / EquipmentRoomQtyXYZ
DXF symbol extraction can populate counts. Enter or confirm each project X/Y/Z anchor so spatial handoffs use the shared P0 top-left origin.
02b Bathroom Fixture Selector
Cascading Manufacturer → Model dropdowns for each bathroom detected in your entities (any room containing “bath”). Pick a fixture and click Add to push it into the takeoff with its brand/model spec. Lines are an editable seed library — confirm model availability and specifications or connect a supplier feed later.
02c Paste Fixture Schedule
Paste the fixture schedule from a print — the table of marks, descriptions & quantities. The parser proposes a fixture list; review and correct it, then add it to the takeoff. Works no matter how the schedule arrived (DXF, PDF text, or typed). Load a sample.
03 Photo Observations
PhotoDetected Objects (comma-sep)
Optional. Used to reconcile field conditions against the drawing (e.g. a condenser in a photo but not in the entities).
04 Assembly Catalog
04b Rate Book & Pricing
Your persistent price book — it carries forward across jobs and stays current as you edit. Material costs are yours to fill (every wholesaler differs); labor hours are editable suggested baselines. Saved in this browser; use Export/Import to back up or move it between machines.

04c Job Closeout & Carry-Forward
The closed loop. You bid with your baseline; the job runs; reality happens. At close, enter or upload the final actual costs, then carry them forward — the actual end tally of this job becomes the baseline for the next. Your numbers self-correct every job.

04d Import Job Actuals — Loopback
The second door of the loop. Paste a finished, priced takeoff from a completed job — the cost sheet this tool produces — and fold its actual line costs back into your baseline. Each job you feed in pulls every item’s unit cost toward current reality: a shifting mean that re-centers as prices move (recent jobs weigh more). Reads Description · Qty · Unit Cost; subtotals, totals and headers are ignored. Load a sample.
No dollar signs in your sheet (a raw supply-house export, say)? Tell the parser which columns to read — 1 = first column, reads comma, tab, or spaced columns. Leave blank to auto-detect by the “$”.
05 Layer / Symbol Mapping
Teach the tool your office's CAD conventions. When a DXF is parsed, each entity's block/symbol (and optional layer) is matched here (case-insensitive “contains”) to an assembly. First match wins.
Block / SymbolLayer (opt)→ Assembly

One per line: layer, block, room, qty — plus optional brand, model, X, Y, Z in project inches from P0. Use “/” or “-” in model names, not commas. For now, paste it or load a sample.

06b Bid Summary
Material = Σ(qty × your unit cost). Labor = Σ(fixtures × hrs × trade rate). A draft estimate from your own rates — verify against field conditions and final supplier quotes before bidding.
