Rise/run geometry · cut-reference stringers
REFERENCE GEOMETRY

Enter a floor-to-floor rise and user-selected geometry references to calculate equal risers, tread run, stringer length, throat geometry and a reference stringer count. The framing-square layout and cut templates are dimensional references only; this reference pass does not determine project suitability, member capacity or installation requirements.

01 Rise & width

Enter rise like 9' or 108". Set riser height fixes the unit rise directly; if it does not divide the floor-to-floor evenly, the remainder is flagged.

02 User reference values

These are user-selected geometry flags only. They are not sourced, maintained or represented as project requirements.

03 Tread, nosing & bullnose

Nosing, bullnose and tread thickness are user-entered geometry. Tread thickness sets the bottom-stringer drop; no installation requirement is determined here.

04 Stringer stock

Minimum throat is a user-defined reference flag. No member-strength or material-capacity analysis is performed.

05 Pricing & waste

06 Landing / platform (front view area)

Defines the platform drawn at the top of the Front view. Area = width × depth; decking is added to the take-off as ft². Leave unchecked to omit.

Step-by-step square settings (rise on tongue, run on blade), bottom drop, plumb & level cut lengths, throat line, and full cut list.
Reference geometry only. Outputs are generated from user-provided dimensions and user-selected reference values. Member capacity, connections, landings, openings, overhead clearances, guards, handrails, field conditions and installation details are not evaluated. Independently review all dimensions and project requirements before cutting or building.
